Degrees By Subject

The caption ‘Degree by Subjects’, points to the study of a subject at various degree levels. Today we are living in an age of specialization. The advancement in academics, in general, and especially in the fields of science and technology has introduced many new subjects. The newly introduced subjects as well as the specialized branches of subjects already being taught are now available from grass root level to specializations for the learners. The range of subjects in colleges and universities is quite extensive to be counted. They are classified into degrees and certificates which mark the extent of knowledge they provide at various levels.

Now universities all over the world have their subjects’ list in their prospectus with the division of degrees in these subjects. These lists are greatly helpful for the students in their selection of subjects at various degree levels. For an instance, the subject of business administration is taught in various degree programmes. We may say that Business Administration as a subject is divided into many degrees. It may be studied at an associate level where only a preliminary knowledge is imparted to the student. But there is more detailed study available at the graduate level. Here the degree with major courses of business administration is specifically captioned as Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). The same subject if studied at master’s level awards Master of Business Administration (MBA). A post-graduate degree is regarded a detailed study of the subject with the knowledge of latest researches in the field. The subjects at doctoral level consist of research work by the students in specialized fields. All other subjects are taught with the same division from associate level to doctoral levels.
